Are your dimmers soft start dimmers?

Modified on Fri, 26 Jan at 4:52 PM

Yes. Our dimmer switches use soft start technology. The soft start mechanism causes a slow build up, meaning less strain on the LED and improved longevity of the LED driver. This is done by the dimmers being set as trailing edge dimmers, allow the switch to cut the electrical wave later on that a leading edge dimmer.

To reduce the soft start time down, the dimmer could be set to leading edge, by doing this the dimmer cuts into the electrical wave earlier therefore the switch turns the lights on faster.

When changing the driving mode, be aware that this may affect how the light dims if its a trailing edge bulb being switched by a leading edge dimmer.
